Today..

we have managed to edit ALL of the first advert.. All that needs to be done now is adding music. We have picked an artist (Joel Owen) we would like and have asked him if we can use one of his songs so we are not copywriting. He was willing to let us use one so we are very grateful.

Adding Image To End Of Adverts

we added an image to the end of our adverts to help promote the product. We took a picture of our product on a digital camera, lasoosed around the image to make the background black. We saved it to a memory stick and then uploaded the image. When this is shown the voice over slogan is played at the same time.

This week...

the plan is:

-Film our first advert
-Edit our first advert
-Film the beginning of our second advert
-Edit the beginning of our second advert

If we get this done by next week then we will have managed to finish practical work before the deadline and get any other bits that we are unsure of re-filmed or re-editied.

Editing

As yesterday went terribly wrong, i had come into school today optimistic. This lesson i have editied the beginning of the first advert as Eve is ill at home. I have taken a camera out to record the rest of the first advert. I have asked Eve if she could ring up her boss to see if we can use the poachers again. I also got feedback from my radio advert that I filmed and editied wednesday. Mrs Hammond had said it was good and there is no point re-filming it to gain or loose a mark as Mrs Somel suggested. Thankfully we have a week extension due to Eve's illness.

More Editing On The Second Advert

We tried to shorten the advert lengith so we cut some time of each shot. This also helped give us the fast pace editing we were looking for.

Today I added the music to the advert. I have to cut the start and then repeat it so it kept the climax in the music at the end where she is satisfied.

We Can't

... use the material we filmed last Sunday, because we uploaded to have a look what it looked like on the macs and realised the lighting was too dull and had an ornagey tone. This is because we filmed when it was dark outside and depended on indoor lighting.

We wil film again but during the day

At least we had a go and had a chance to pracitise and see what shots work.

Not Been Able To Edit Yet

Not had a lesson or any free time to upload and have a look at what we have done so far... think it will be tuesday next week when we are given the time to do so.



++++ On a plus note, i think our blog is begining to look really good now, obviously one of the best :)
